Bring It

Today I'm languishing in furniture delivery limbo. Dante may have neglected to mention this little circle of hell, but I've made preparations. It's a day for spinning, and I got rainbow Blue Face Leicester to spin.

Rainbow BFL

Right now about an eighth of the roving is spun. If things go badly there's lots of spin time, I may have half spun by day's end.

Yesterday I went stargazing. Not at the Martha show like some lucky ducks (didja get good swag?), I was looking for USA 193, the spy satellite falling out of the sky, but I don't think it clears the trees roundabout Exit 151. The shoot-down has got to be soon, so there may not be other opportunities to see it. ETA: breaking news.

Totality   About half   Just a nibble

At least I saw last night's lunar eclipse at totality and after. Sorry about the blurry pix (handheld with the digicam, because DH had the film camera on the tripod). What's missing are the beautiful colors of the eclipse at totality, deep copper with flickers of pale green, blue, and lavender, and how bright the eclipse actually is to the naked eye.

Tomorrow's weather forecast is for snowfall in successive waves starting in the morning. Could be time for French toast.

Yeah I can't wait to hear confirmation whether they nailed that satellite or not!

Good luck with delivery day. They either deliver at the beginning of the time window they give you, or the end. Hope it's the beginning. But then again, you've got some good spin going on--so the end wouldn't be so bad.

People in my office have been planning a French Toast day tomorrow since yesterday!

I was glad the eclipse was well underway before my bedtime!

Yeah, I'm not really looking forward to trekking to work tomorrow . . . although, at least it's close to home!

And, of course, your spinning looks fabulous.

The bright roving should make your stay in hell easier. I wondered why the moon was such a funky color last night. I am totally out of the loop.
