ETA: Looks like it does!
Hm... if I reference this post on Plurk, will teh Internets blow up? (Scampers off to try it.)
H is also for hap shawl. For the Tour de France KAL, I finally cast on for a modified hap shawl, Shetsoie by Odile Buatois-Brand. Le Tour started July 5 [cough]; I signed up for the Maillot Vert – the sprinter's competition. Ahem. The designer used her own handspun Shetland wool and silk yarn and traditional Shetland lace patterns, hence the name; I'm using vintage stash, Rowan Kaffe Fassett Light Tweed 4 Ply. I dimly remember knitting the yarn on US 3 (3.25 mm) needles originally, but for the shawl US 7s (4.5 mm) are working well. (Sorry about the horrible photo.)
By missing the Grand Départ from Brest, I missed the chance to burble on about the most excellent dessert in cycling, Paris-Brest, which are French cream puffs shaped like a bicycle tire. Perhaps it's just as well – sprinting begins now!
