A Garden in Winter
There's snow on the ground roundabout Exit 151, the first of the year. It was brightly pretty over the weekend, and is atmospheric today as it sublimes away in heavy fog. I have just the thing for a moody winter's day – Winter Garden socks! from Knit Socks!

I love them, from their lace cuffs to their colorwork toes. I love the alternating contrast colors. I love how the stranded work holds the socks up as securely as ribbing.

The only snag? It is (of course) almost impossible to take a decent photo of black socks against white snow. If you can see one, the other is bound to be badly over- or under-exposed. Here's the best of the bunch.

I have another FO to show off, but that will have to wait until another day. So many handknits, so little time!

Ooooh -- I LOVE these! I want a pair. :)
And you made BOTH of them! Hooray! Those are beautiful!
These socks are awesome! I had to pop over to Ravelry and check out the pattern/book and by far I liked your version the best, especially the color combination and the toes.
