Surfacing for a moment to crow about my new Kelli bag. No, not one of those Hermès bags. They're magnificent to be sure, but this humble beauty is far more eco-aware: a box bag made by the amazing Kelli.
It's hard to see in the photo, but the fabric has the most subtle tonal curlicues. The bag is lined, of course, and the zipper coordinates perfectly with the insides.
There was a jar of Kelli's blue-ribbon pickled beets inside (yum), which was replaced in short order by the current Sockdown! sock, Kaibashira by Chrissy Gardiner, worked in Zarzuela's Fibers Shiny Sheep Sock in colorway DC Sunrise.
I'm very happy with this pairing of yarn and pattern, but really need to submerge again. More in a bit.

What a great gift. I love the juicy colors in the sock yarn.
What a great job Kelli did on that bag! Wish I could sew (sniff, sniff).
And I love Jessica's Shiny Sheep yarn...have to get me some :o)
Happy Valentine's Day!
Happy Valentine’s Day.
When I saw the lining fabric I immediately thought of you.
I’m glad you like it and hope you get lots of use out of it. ~ksp
Love that bag, especially the green zipper and lining! Those socks are so sunny and juicy. Kelli a a kick ass sewer. Lucky you!
The DC Sunrise color is sooo nice, and works really well with that lace pattern. How cool to have someone sewing a project bag for you.
oooh all pretty!
Love the bag! (found you through NJ knitters blog ring) :)
